Seaton Scarff, artist and designer, was born and raised on Chicago’s North Side. Aside from earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 1999 from Emerson College in Boston, much of Scarff’s life has taken place at Sedgwick Studio where he learned basics of design and fabrication. This influence not only contributes to Scarff’s distinctive aesthetic but his philosophy that process is as important as the product. His experience has also tendeded toward more practical fields, like a position for a prop company, building material and models for film, photography, and architecture. About eight years ago, Scarff, beginning with furniture construction, started Seaton Scarff Studio; encompasses multiple fields of design and fabrications.
