A BIG Kick-Off for CSE 2018!

CSE 2018 Party at Sedgwick Studio
Sedgwick Studio was proud to host the 17th annual Chicago Sculpture Exhibit Kick-Off...with pizza, public art, and plenty of people! Despite steamy weather, crowds at Sedgwick Studio were ready to celebrate! Along with successful turnout and exposure for Chicago's sculpture community, CSE has been invited to exhibit maquette versions of full-scale sculptures at the Cliff Dweller's Club this winter! More info to come!

In the meantime, visit the CSE website, "Like" their Facebook page, and enjoy this video footage of 2018 sculptures being installed.

Field Trip with Catherine Cook School

John Adduci, Chicago sculpture
As part of a walking tour of Old Town, the first graders at Catherine Cook School were intrigued by a sculpture by John Adduci. A field trip to nearby Sedgwick Studio was the perfect supplement! John Adduci, Sunny Han, and Michael Young presented the young scholars with an "inside look" at art and history right in their backyard. This unique field trip included a "show and tell" as part of a welding demonstration - a mini-sculpture by John Adduci to adorn their classroom!

Chicago Architecture Biennial Reception

Sedgwick Studio hosts Chicago Architecture Biennial Receptin with Siena Scarff
This fall, Siena Scarff Design held a reception at Sedgwick Studio for the Chicago Architecture Biennial. From strategic purple lighting to Siena's own architecturally-inspired ice cubes, the evening was perfectly customized for Chicago's architectural community. Our own artists loaned sculpture as artistic ambiance...a unique benefit of Sedgwick Studio for an element of "mi casa, su casa"!
