Born and raised in the high desert country of Winslow, AZ, Jerry - in partnership with Paul Slepak and Tom Scarff – bought Sedgwick Studio; a unique space many collectors consider a Chicago “must see.” Jerry’s practice concentrates equally on high quality, large-scale public sculpture and small private sculptures. He has successfully created over 35 large-scale public sculptures. The grace and excitement of his lyrical, abstract sculptures transform their varied settings, with almost every state in America and parts of Asia among them. Smaller, distinctive works are also found in museums and private collections. When he walks into his studio, Jerry continues to create bold and imaginative sculpture, guided by the belief that “the artist not only has to provide an answer, but must also pose the question.” www.peartsculpture.com
